Hurricane Rita
The hurricane Katrina page has been updated to include hurricane Rita. I have asked the Georgia hams who have Winlink capability to monitor their Airmail In boxes for any traffic. I have provided the ARES Leadership in Texas with a list of these individuals who can deliver traffic in Georgia. This is likely to be a devastating event and will stretch resources well past the normal breaking point. We need to be ready to offer any help we can and providing a reliable outlet for traffic is an easy way to help. You may not receive a single message but by being there you do provide a valuable service. My suggestion is to check your Airmail a minimum of twice a day and more often if possible. I am also asking that you copy me on any traffic you receive so I can help maintain a log of what we have done.
